Planta Sónica 2 is the name chosen in homage to the studio that was considered by the British specialized press, in the 80s, as one of the 10 best studios in Spain. Artists such as Resentidos, Siniestro Total, Aerolíneas Federales, Ricardo Portela, Carlos Nuñez, Xil Ríos, Trabalhadores do Comércio, Pepermint Twist or Semen Up are a few of many that recorded in its facilities.

Now also counting on the collaboration of renowned producers, PlantaSónica 2 offers music recording and production services on various digital platforms such as Pro Tools and Sequoia, as well as an innumerable amount of equipment and microphones of the highest quality.

In the mid-80s, Sergio Castro settled in Vigo with the intention of opening a professional recording studio and thus being able to continue his activity as a record producer. It was in 1985 when he met the acoustic engineer Philip Newell and invited him to design the Planta Sónica studios, which, directed by Sergio and Javier Abreu, closed their doors at the end of 1990, due to a terrible and fatal flood. 20 years later, Sergio Castro, director of the company Reflexion Arts since 1991, returned to the recording studios, this time alongside the engineer and producer Pancho Suárez, recovering from the ashes the facilities of Área Master studios in Vigo (Carretera Camposancos, 113), a studio also designed by Philip Newell and built by Reflexion Arts in the late 90s.
